WordPress Web Design Approach | Ask Web Pro
A better website
Starts with better thinking.
WHAT I DO
Before I design a page, I look for the real problem.
The decision your visitor needs to make
Are they comparing services, checking credibility, exploring a product or ready to get in touch? That decision shapes the page structure, the information order and the calls to action.
Designing around evidence, not assumptions
Instead of adding features because they are fashionable, I prioritize what supports your goals. If something adds complexity without helping the visitor, it deserves a second look.
STRUCTURED WORKFLOW
Four deliberate stages. One connected process.
01. Understand
02. Plan
03. Build
04. Improve
INTENTIONAL WEB DESIGN APPROACH
Not more features. The right features.
- Does this help visitors understand or complete something?
- Does it support a clear business or user need?
- Will it work well on smaller screens?
- Can it be managed without unnecessary friction?
CRAFTSMANSHIP
What I pay attention to along the way
Clear paths, not dead ends
Navigation, page hierarchy and calls to action should help people know where they are and what to do next.
Designed beyond desktop
Layouts, spacing, buttons and content need to remain comfortable to use on mobile and tablet, not simply shrink to fit.
Built for real ownership
I consider how content and products will be updated later, and avoid unnecessary complexity where a simpler solution works.
Clear communication
I aim to keep decisions, priorities and next steps understandable, so you’re not left guessing what is happening or why a choice has been made.
Honest recommendations
If a request needs a different approach, has a trade-off or falls outside the agreed scope, I’ll explain that rather than quietly making assumptions.
A useful handover
The goal is not to leave you with a website that feels mysterious. Where relevant, I’ll make the key editing and management steps clear so you can take ownership of your site.
